Most driver training has traditionally been offered in a classroom setting, but drivers online training offers an excellent, convenient, and inexpensive training alternative to standard classroom training. Drivers online training, introduced to the transportation industry by CayCan Safety Consulting, offers participants a flexibility that classroom training does not while still relaying the necessary information to the participant.
The D.O.T is comprised of a series of modules that educate drivers on the applicable safety standards and regulations that govern the transportation industry. This will ensure that more drivers are compliant with the regulations, reducing violations and fines.
Drivers online training is reliable and secure, and ensures that participants understand and retain the information by including tests at the completion of each module and a final exam upon completion of the course. D.O.T also reduces the hassle for carriers by eliminating the need to schedule classroom training for their drivers. This also reduces the hassle for the drivers by allowing them to take the training at a time and place that is convenient for them, rather than traveling to a classroom session.
CayCan's drivers online training educates carriers and drivers on the most current safety standards and regulations, aiding in the development of superior safety standards within the company and ensures the compliance of drivers with the transportation legislation.

The National Safety Code, which is the standard that regulates hours of service, was developed by the Canadian Council of Motor Transport Administrators (CCMTA). The CCMTA is the organization responsible for controlling the administration and regulation of motor vehicle transport and highway safety in Canada. The Hours of Service standard was developed to improve safety on Canada's highways by limiting commercial driver's hours to ensure they remain alert behind the wheel and to decrease the fatigue they may feel while on the job.
Transport Canada takes driver fatigue very seriously and hours of service infractions are dealt with severely. It is therefore important that carriers and their drivers work together to carefully monitor each driver's hours and ensure compliance with the National Safety Code standards.
